18th Symposium on Industrial and Environmental Applications of Fluid Mechanics

Direction

The objective of the symposium is to promote discussion and information exchange of developing and state-of-the-art industrial and environmental (both indoor and outdoor) applications of fluid mechanics technology. Papers are solicited on work in progress, novel applications of existing technology, and new concepts. Subjects on the application of fluid dynamic characteristics such as swirl flow, vortex, Coanda effect, mass and heat transfer on the surface, free surface flow, and phase change effect are welcome. Submissions involving motion at large length scales are encouraged, including atmospheric and oceanic flows and galactic turbulence, as well as those incorporating subsurface terrestrial circulations, such as tectonic and mantle magneto-hydrodynamics. Topics on new concept applications to industrial or environmental fluid mechanics are also welcome.
