Editorial Note

This issue featured “Fluids Engineering for the World’s Top Technologies”, where the fluid engineering techniques for the world leading technologies are focused. The content includes Japan’s famous products of Tokyo Sky Tree and high-speed rail. In addition, the recent development in the energy components (competing among high efficiency of the world’s top level) and large-scale computational techniques (for example, techniques using super computer “K” has won the title of the world’s fastest machine) is included. We hope that the articles give you the idea how the fluid engineering is related to world’s top technology.

Finally, we would like to thank all the authors for their contributions.

Daisuke Sasaki, Ikuya Kinefuchi, Isao Hagiya
