Experimental study on hydrogen dispersion

Masahiro INOUE
Department of Earth Resources Engineering, Kyushu University

Abstract

The experimental studies that actually uses hydrogen are few though many computer simulations concerning the hydrogen dispersion are published. The simulation is very useful today, however, sometimes the experiments may be more suitable method to figure out some new facts. Therefore, the experimental studies are being done related to the hydrogen dispersion. If there is information from the simulation before the experiments, for examples, the sensor arrangement can be prepared effectively in advance for the experiment and the reliability will be improved and vice versa. The author is convinced that the experiment and the simulation mutually compensate each other. The several results of the experiments on the hydrogen dispersion will be described in the report.
